Insperational Interior Designs

 Hello to all my readers,
So, I've got absolutely amazing news! About 3 weeks ago my family sold and moved out of our house and are currently staying with my aunt, and about 1 1/2 weeks ago we found a house that is perfect for us, and so we put an offer on it and the owners accepted it! We feel so blessed to have found a house that God has provided for us to buy and to have such loving relatives that have let us stay at their house.

Anyways, each bedroom will be repainted and so my mom has given me the privilage to design the girls bedroom :) And so I have been browsing online through google images at different bedroom designs, and thought I would share some with you. Perhaps you will find some inspiration just as I have;

I love the bright orange!

I am not a huge fan of green, but this room makes it work.

I am the ultimate purple lover!

How cute is this for a kids room?

I love this color combination! Of course, they are the same colors as my previous room, so... ya :)

It's simple, but girly and cute :)

This has a 'royal' look to it, although I think I would prefer it with a different color than this blue.

hmm.... I think the wall needs some color rather than just white, but that's just me :)

 Elegant Purple!

How fun are some of these designs? I'm really excited about getting to figure out how to design the room, and these pictures just inspire me more! :)

Dance your way closer to God

Hello!
I just got back from my first Line Dancing class (and yes, it was fun!). I have never danced before and found it much more difficult than I anticipated, but nonetheless tried my best :) . And as I started thinking back to my class, a thought just so happened to occur to me; Taking a dance class is kind of like our christian walk. I know this might sound a little bit out there, but just think of what you do in a dance class; you follow the instructor and every move they make, just like how we as christians are called to follow God. But when you first accept christ it's like your taking your first class, and you watch every move the instructor takes and try to copy it but stumble often. The more you continue to follow the instructor the less stumbling you do, and eventually it all runs smoothly and you shine the skills that the instructor taught you. Just like how we stumble frequently in our walk with God, but as we grow nearer to him we stumble less, and we get to the point were we radiate him with our every move. Now granted we still make mistakes, but it becomes easier to avoid such things once you grow accustomed to following him. Does that make sense? It was just a fun thought that I had and wanted to share :)

Hope your week is going well!

Purpose

It's one of those days were your sitting at home; The clouds are drifting through the endless blue hue of sky, the birds are singing their continuous song, and the grass sways in harmony. I'm looking out the window and a thought just happens to occur to me; What can I do to make a difference? I know that that is a pretty heavy question, I mean, a difference in what way? I hear about people making an impact in the lives of others and fulfilling various needs of the world, and I am amazed and also longing to do the same. But what is God's purpose for me?
I'm just surprised at how I thought that I knew what I was doing with my life and all of a sudden it's like I am questioning whether what I have planned is really what God has planned for me. Do you ever feel this way? I started trying to do Google searches of different needs in our country, hoping to be inspired by something, but found that pointless. I ended up not finding any of the answers I was looking for, and rightly so; what gave me the idea that Google would solve my problems? Really what I needed to do was go straight to the source, pray, and read my bible about it. Anyhow, I've just been pondering on that for the past month and still am, which is driving me crazy since I tend to be the type of person that when I get an idea I want to act on it right away. So perhaps this is making me work on patience and teaching me to wait on God and his timing?

Anyways, I just thought I'd let you know what all I have been thinking and praying about lately (I'd appreciate your prayers as well! :) .

I hope that you all have been doing well, and thanks for reading :)

S.A.S Weekend!

Wow, this is the first Sing A Song Weekend for the month of September!
I am not sure about you, but I have a ton of schoolwork this year and therefore am begining to dread the upcoming semester.... I found a song though that has brought a bit of comfort to me;

Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble
~Matthew 6:34

Worry v.s. Trust

Recently I read a book written by Lauraine Snelling (A fantastic christian author!), and I loved what one of her characters said in the book; The mother Ingaborg, pretty much said that when we worry it shows that we are not placing our trust in God. The Bible says “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:6-7). As Christians we are called to give our burdens to God and to trust that he will take care of you through the hard and laborious times.

By reading what I wrote above I just have to chuckle to myself, because exactly what I just wrote is something that I need to learn myself. I can think of countless times that I have just worried about such silly little things, and am ashamed to say that I haven't always trusted God to the fullest. You know what I mean? It's like I pray to God and am like 'Yes God, I trust you will take care of everything', but yet in my head I am still worrying about whether we will find the right house, or whether we will be all right financially, ect....

By coming to the realization of this, I have started to try and solve the problem by reading what the bible has to say about trust/worry and telling myself those verses when I am feeling worried.  Here are some that I have found:

Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
~John 14:27

My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from him. He alone is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken.
~Psalm 62:1-2

When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.
~Psalm 56:3

I challenge those who are reading this to put your full trust in God this week when worry's arise. Who knows, you might just find yourself closer to God; I know I sure have.

Have a blessed week!
~Adriana
