Snow

Well, it snowed at my house yesterday!

I just love the snow, and I spent the day working on a little schoolwork, making sugar cookies in the shapes of snowflakes, & a trip outside to take some pics. 

It was a truly beautiful day, and I just loved looking out at the blanket of snow. It was breathtaking.

I didn't take many pictures, but here are a few:

Sisters

Hello Everyone,

Lately I have been thinking alot about my sisters and about the type of big sister that I want to become. I have a lot of friends who have older siblings and they always talk of how great their older brothers/sisters are. Hearing my friends talk about that has really put a yearning inside my heart to become a big sister that's worthy of looking up to. I don't just want to be a sister to my siblings, but a friend and mentor as well. 

I always dream about being able to go to the mall with my little sisters and just having fun, and then treat them to a ice cream and just sit and talk about what's going on in their lives. I want them to trust me and to look up to me. I don't yearn for that for pride, but more because I want to be able to have  a close relationship with them and maybe help guide them through struggles that they have in their faith and life. 

I am so blessed to have such wonderful sisters and thankful that I get the privilege of being the eldest. I hope that over time God can help me to become a type of sister that glorify's God and shines his light.

If you have a younger sister then  I am sure you can relate to this. I just felt in my heart to post about this subject.

Wow, I've been so busy that it seems like I only post songs these days ;)

Haha, well I guess that is partially due to the fact that I love music ♥

So I just discovered a new favorite song! I am soooooo excited to share it with y'all! :D 

Like I said, It's been real busy, so this song has really lifted me up this past week :)

Movie Review

So I watched the movie 'The Last Song' for the first time last Sunday, and
I thought maybe y'all would like a review about it :)

Summary
This is a story about a girl named Ronnie, who visits her dad over the summer at his beach house. The girl is a teenager and is going through a rebellious stage (As most young girls do). Ronnie and her dad both have a desire for music, and learn to reconnect through their love for music.


The Good & The Bad
I liked the storyline of the movie; A girl starts out rebellious but learns to see the love that her father has for her and grows closer to him.-What I don't like is the amount of provocative clothing in this film (2 piece swimsuits are shown a lot since it is a beach they are at). The girl is a bit of a brat at first and there was one in-particular scene that had some pretty intense kissing.

This movie made me laugh and cry, it was a truly touching movie when you got near the end... but I won't say why! ;)

The Actors:

Milley Cyrus played as Veronica 'Ronnie' Miller

 She played the part well.... Although I had such a hard time finding an appropriate picture of her...

Greg Kinnear played as Steve Miller (Ronnie's dad)

I liked him a lot! Very good actor :)

Bobby Coleman played as Jonah Miller (Ronnie's Brother)

 He is my most favorite actor of the whole movie! And he acted so sweet at the end of the film that I had tears watching him.

 Liam Hemsworth played as Will Blakelee (Ronnie's boyfriend)

 He was a good actor.

Rated PG, 107 Minutes long, Drama, Romance

I would not consider this movie family friendly. And I definitely wouldn't let boys watch it because of the inappropriate clothing.... So then it's up to you whether you want to see this movie. I will say that it has a ending that really just pulls at your heart and that is probably the one thing that made me like this movie. I probably won't ever see it again, but I don't regret watching it.

Valentines Day Encouragement

So I've been told that Valentines day, is a day to show someone you love them

Well, If your like me, then ya don't have a 'significant other' to share this special day with. Valentines day seems like an ordinary day to me, nothing that spectacular about it. Just because you are not in a relationship doesn't mean that the day can't have a significance to it though :)

I think it is important on Valentines day, to remember who the ultimate lover is; Jesus. He want's to be our valentine -not just on February 14th, but every day of the year! So rather than being upset because you don't have a  prince to share the day with, you can rejoice because you are in a relationship with the ultimate king!

Here is a verse that I think relates to today:

No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.

~1 John 4:12 

You can make February 14th a significant day just by sending Jesus a 'Be My Valentine' day card, via prayer! God loves us so much, and today is just a reminder of His love for us and a time to tell Him that we love him back.
